When you are satisfied that all the relevant areas and proposals have been covered the mediator will produce a confidential summary of mediation, also known a Memorandum of Understanding, or ‘Summary of Proposals’.
Depending on the issues which you discussed during mediation, the summary will set out arrangements for children and proposals for settlement of financial and property matters. This provides the basis for a Consent Order in divorce-related financial relief proceedings, or, if needed, for a consent order on child arrangements.
Your mediator will also produce an Open Statement of Financial Information (OFS). This sets out all the financial information which you provided during mediation, and includes a schedule of all the supporting documents, like bank statements, payslips, property deeds etc.
